This collection is being exhibited at the Internationale Galerie Du Verre in Biot, France. Serge Lechaczynski inspires us with a theme each year and for this Verriales he has proposed that we consider the hero’s journey told in the enduring tale, Odyssey. In these sculptures we not only consider the challenges faced by Ulysses, but take into account the clever tactics used by Penelope to ward off greedy suitors. Without Penelope, Ulysses would have not Ithaca to return to! These sculptures celebrate the overcoming of obstacles…always a modern theme.
